The article is devoted to theoretical, methodical and organizational regulations of strategic management of the enterprise activity under current economic conditions. The essence of such categories as ‘strategic planning’ and ‘strategic management’ has been investigated, the main stages of formation and implementation of a strategy of the business entity development, in order to ensure its sustainable performance, have been defined. The necessity of applying of scenario approach and consideration of economical, ecological and social aspects of activity in the process of formation of development strategy of the enterprise is proved.
