dc.description.abstractalt1	This paper presents the main directions of foreign language teaching improving the development of communicative competence and the intensification use of the training process, the ways of applying situational methods of teaching. It reveals the positive and negative aspects of situational method. Its representatives have made a great contribution to the methodology of foreign language teaching, developed a structured approach to teaching grammar, laid the foundation for situational approach to learning and identified the receptive and reproductive peculiarities of foreign language.	en_US
