dc.description.abstractalt1	The purpose of this publication is to analyze various aspects of social work and social policy in Italy. Social work in Italy is directed by applicable law. The activity of social services experts carried out primarily according to the National legislative base. In each of Italian regions are developing their own bills that aimed on solving different social problems, based on their regional needs and available resources for satisfying them, but in general they retain the common features. To the semantic directions of social work with children and youth include: prevention of the social orphanage; prevention of neglect and homelessness, delinquency and criminality, social support for people living with HIV and young people who use drugs; social rehabilitation of children and young people with functional limitations; social education and upbringing. Social service in Italy is a kind of intermediary, in which the differentiation of the clients problems with the aim of further transmission their solution to the competent authorities or organizations, which may include not only state but also civil public organizations. In Italy social worker plays the role of the social operator who knows the objectives, methods and principles of the profession and works in a system organized by the society for the benefit of individual, family and group to prevent and solve problem situations, helping clients use individual and public resources. Civil public organizations are voluntary associations of citizens according to their interests and goals. In Italy public organizations take an active part in the formation of government social policy, experts of organizations are involved in the elaboration of public projects and, conversely, actively cooperate with social services, conduct joint activities and equities. For the development of social sphere and successful reforming of the social protection in Ukraine at the present stage it is important to study foreign experience of social policy and social work. The experience of Italy in some aspects may be implemented in the Ukrainian realities of social work.	en_US
